MaryTheresa Pendergast leads the Solutions R&D team to improve and expand the Oasys technology platform. Her team focuses on innovation in membrane performance, low energy draw solution recovery, and integrated systems design. MaryTheresa is a recognized and established author, having published more than 20 peer-reviewed journal articles and proceeding papers since 2007. MaryTheresa has dual BS degrees in Physics from Providence College and Earth and Environmental Engineering from Columbia University. She also earned a MS and PhD at University of California, Los Angeles where she developed novel membrane materials and water treatment processes.

John Tracy has over 15 years of experience in Product Management and Strategic Marketing focusing on development and promotion of complex systems to international customers. He has over 10 years of power industry and industrial water treatment experience with membrane systems. Prior to Oasys Water, John was a Product Line Manager, with the semiconductor equipment maker Axcelis Technologies, and held engineering and business development positions with ABB, Osmonics, and General Chemical Group. John earned his BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University and an MBA from Northeastern University.

Jim Matheson is a highly respected clean technology visionary and leader who became the President and CEO of Oasys Water in 2013. Since then, Jim helped pave the way for Oasys’ global expansion and pioneering technology platform. Previously, as a General Partner at Flagship Pioneering, Jim spearheaded the venture capital firm’s sustainability practice. Before embarking on his second career in sustainable technology investing and entrepreneurship, Jim was a decorated Navy F-14 and FA-18 pilot and TOPGUN Instructor. Jim retired in 2008 as a Commander in the US Naval Reserves and earned his BS from the United States Naval Academy and his MBA from The Harvard Business School.

In April 2014, Oasys was honored as Water Technology Company of the Year by Global Water Intelligence and the company’s first commercial ZLD project in China was recognized by both Global Water Intelligence and Power Magazine in 2016 as Industrial Water Project of the Year.

John Ellersick has more than 20 years of expertise leading complex projects in both the water and energy industries. At Oasys Water, John brings his extensive international experience by leading our global project management teams. Prior to joining Oasys, John held roles leading the engineering and technical teams at both highly regarded start-ups and major corporations, allowing him to uniquely understand the needs of clients across a broad spectrum of industries. John earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University and an MS in Engineering Management from Tufts University’s Gordon Institute.

Patrick Song is responsible for overall financial management at Oasys Water. Patrick has led finance departments at two leading clean technology companies where he executed over $500 million in capital formation funding a company from lab stage R&D through the construction of a commercial scale plant. Patrick earned his BA in Economics and MA in International Policy Studies from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Oasys sold the first ClearFlo MBC system in 2013.
